1. The Service

ForgetMeNot is a personal assistant app that helps you remember birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions for the people you care about. It offers reminders, scheduled messages, and AI-powered gift suggestions and conversation. The app is provided "as is" and may be updated or changed over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/EEA) to use ForgetMeNot. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & Billing

Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. We may change subscription pricing; any change will apply to future billing periods and, where required, only after notice to you.

4. Free Plan

ForgetMeNot offers a free plan that lets you add up to five people and use core reminder and scheduling features. AI features and unlimited people require a Premium subscription. We may change the limits or features of the free plan at our discretion.

5. AI-Generated Content

Gift ideas, messages, and assistant responses are generated by artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) and are provided for inspiration only. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing any suggestion before acting on it. ForgetMeNot does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or availability of any AI-generated content or recommended product.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to harass, harm, or impersonate others
• Send messages through the app's scheduling features without the recipient's consent where required by law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its servers
• Misuse the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content

7. Your Content & Data

The people, occasions, and preferences you enter are stored on your device and remain yours. Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how limited data is processed to deliver AI features and manage your subscription.

8. Intellectual Property

ForgetMeNot, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by ForgetMeNot and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

ForgetMeNot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders or notifications will always be delivered on time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForgetMeNot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any missed occasion, undelivered reminder, or reliance on AI-generated content, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using ForgetMeNot at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of ForgetMeNot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ForgetMeNot operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
